Both teams have put out strong sides.

The Maori AB's have put out one heck of a backline, and they'll be tough to contain if they can get a reasonable amount of ball.

They won't be afraid to give it some air and will try and run the Lions around at pace, weather allowing.

A win for the Maori ABs will put the Lions in a very difficult place, while I think the Lions need to both win, and show a bit more than we've seen so far, to give themselves (and you lot) a bit of confidence going into the test series starting next weekend.

No idea who is going to win this one. I've already been wrong 3 times on this tour.

The Lions are 7/2 to win Saturday. Going to put a few quid on them!!

Re: British & Irish Lions vs Maori All Blacks
Thought Stander was superb against the Chiefs, so can count himself unlucky not to make the bench.

Williams is rated by the AB's after his performance down there before. Let's hope for more of the same on Saturday.

The AB's are usually dominant in the last 20-25 mins and that's where they pull away in close games. But after 50 mins, we can bring on Sinckler, Itoje, Owens and Warburton which is a hell of an impact to make.

is Stander injured, I'd prefer him on the bench to Gatland's lovechild

Re: British & Irish Lions vs Maori All Blacks
Have to say I was pleasantly surprised at Gatt's selection... was 100% sure he was gonna go Sam, North and Halfpenny .... can see why he's gone AWJ and Itoje and Sinkler will be massive impact players to bring on with 25 to go... I watched the Welsh games in NZ last year and Williams was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch... so I think that's gone with his selection along with his decent game v the Chiefs... really excited with Watson, Daly, Williams... let's get it on

Couldn't agree more, but you forgot to mention the constant offsides, blocking and other forms on anti-rugby these cunts specialise in. Utter shite, all of it.

"constant, repetitive, mind numbing, box kicks that Murray will put up for his offside chasers ALL FUCKING NIGHT.

Zzzzzzzzz "

Better than playing a fake rugby where rules are bypassed if it looks exciting enough. Lets see how many forward passes. knock on's etc the All Blacks make that the ref lets go because it looks good !!

I can't comprehend how Jack Nowell didn't even make it in as a replacement.

Nowell was good against the Chiefs but, to be fair, he was dogshit in the earlier games and got skinned by Ioane who's on the wing for the AB's.

Re: British & Irish Lions vs Maori All Blacks
Halfpenny's not an impact player with ball in hand, so a place on the bench is wasted on him. Should've gone to Joseph who can change a game.

Williams played well against the Chiefs though, so that's probably helped him get the nod.

Re: British & Irish Lions vs Maori All Blacks
Agreed Pedro

Itoje has been standout every time and should have started surely.

Can't have Williams either. Conceeding two pens in a couple of minutes under a high ball and earning a yellow in the process the other week gives rise to doubts for me.

Halfpenny had his best game in months last weekend..........

Odd as you say

All Blacks side

1. Joe Moody (25)
2. Codie Taylor (16)
3. Owen Franks (91)
4. Brodie Retallick (61)
5. Samuel Whitelock (85)
6. Jerome Kaino (78)
7. Sam Cane (41)
8. Kieran Read (97) - Captain
9. Aaron Smith (59)
10. Beauden Barrett (50)
11. Rieko Ioane (2)
12. Sonny Bill Williams (34)
13. Ryan Crotty (26)
14. Israel Dagg (62)
15. Ben Smith (61)

16. Nathan Harris (5)
17. Wyatt Crockett (59)
18. Charlie Faumuina (47)
19. Scott Barrett (5)
20. Ardie Savea (13)
21. TJ Perenara (30)
22. Aaron Cruden (47) / Lima Sopoaga (7)
23. Anton Lienert-Brown (10)

Only surprise is Ioane replacing Savea on the wing, probably because he's better at dealing with the constant, repetitive, mind numbing, box kicks that Murray will put up for his offside chasers ALL FUCKING NIGHT.

Zzzzzzzzz

It's a very strong side I reckon. AW Jones is lucky to be in there though - Itoje is unlucky.

Good to see Daly made the cut. He's an excellent player. Very strong bench as well.

Bring it on.
